The Unexplainable Joy

There is an unexplainable joy
That one feels
Knowing someone is just as crazy for them
As they are for that someone.

Maybe it’s just new love?
Or a love
That was delicately built upon
With trust
And self disclosure.

A love where quickly one complements,
Completes
The other
And they do the same in return.

Where selflessness
Comes natural
And the little things
Are just as important.

Meer moments
Become hours of memories,
As one plays them over and over
In their head.

And nothing says family
And love
More than that of open,
Inviting arms
Of the one you love.

Wait.

Creative writing poem exercise

It was a cold winter night
As I held the phone
Sitting in the TV's light,
Sitting all alone.
Should I give him a call?
I let out a sad moan
The clock chimes again on the wall
Again two hours late
He should be back from the mall
"Don't call," he said, "Just wait."
To not call takes all my might
As my mind decides his fate.
No head lights in sight,
I wait, hiding fright.

Seagulls

Seagulls fly
And keep an eye
On any thing I
Might eat

I see them spy
My sandwich on rye
Hoping the I
Won't eat

Hoping I'll care
And possibly share
A portion that's fair
To me

So the crust I don't eat
And leave on my seat
I get on my feet
And leave

In Love With the Stars

Here's a simple story
About a boy and a girl
Where they met, fell in love
And became each other's world

They were meant for each other
Everything felt right
From how they said I love you
And hugged with all their might

As they would say good night
She'd watch him walk away
He would stop at his car
Before looking both ways

When he thought she couldn't see
He'd look to the night sky
With a joy not about her
Oh how she wanted to cry.

He's looking at the stars
With an expression that says
'Oh I wish, I wish
I could have one of them'
Yet he's grounded back
Knowing he loves her
But she wonders if he'd rather
A star over her.

He sees that she's been sad
And asks what's going on
She relays the other night
He didn't think he'd done wrong.

She told him how she felt
How her worth to him was lost
And how she's not a star
That he seems to lust

"You're looking at the stars
With an expression that says,
'Oh I wish, I wish
I could have one of them'
But here we are together
Are you happy with me?
Cuz I wonder if you'd rather
A star over me."

He holds her close
Not wanting to loose her
Explaining himself
And how much he loves her.

He's not in love with the stars
And he's here to stay
Reminding her that she's
His one and only by saying

"I'm looking at the stars
With an expression that says
How lucky I am
To have one of them
Couldn't ask for someone better
There's no one else like you
And I could never rather
A star over you

Couldn't ask for someone better
There's no one else like you
And I could never rather
A star over you"

Boys

And another song that I have tune and lyrics for about my best friend who I love so dearly. Wrote this about a year or two ago.

I met this guy
Back in high school
I'm telling you
That he was so freaking cool

Hot style
He wore every day
Cologne on his neck
That just took my breath away

Now my hearts crushing for him
But wait I'm not blind
I know he's just my best friend

Cuz we both like to stay
Up late at night
Talking on the phone
And holding hands
And holding each other close
Talking about
Dreams we have
But the one thing that fills my
Head with so much noise
We both want to fall in love with boys

We both want to fall in love with boys

So kind
This happy go lucky guy
Listening to techno
And dancing all the time

He's here yet there
But this one things true
He's there for me
And I'm there for him too

Now my hearts crushing for him
But wait I'm not blind
I know he's just my best friend

Cuz we both like to stay
Up late at night
Talking on the phone
And holding hands
And holding each other close
Talking about
Dreams we have
But the one thing that fills my
Head with so much noise
We both want to fall in love with boys

We both want to fall in love with boys

We go out dancing under the stars
Climbing hillsides, discovering who we are
He has a shoulder I can lean on
The only guy I could truly rely on

Now my heart's falling for him.
But I'm not blind, he's my best friend
To the end

Cuz we both like to stay
Up late at night
Talking on the phone
And holding hands
And holding each other close
Talking about
Dreams we have
But the one thing that fills my
Head with so much noise

Cuz we both like to stay
Up late at night
Talking on the phone
And holding hands
And holding each other close
Talking about
Dreams we have
But the one thing that fills my
Head with so much joy
We both want to fall in love with boys

We both want to fall in love with boys

Rain on the Window Pane

I count each drop that falls
Waiting, waiting for your call.
Silence, numb, fading away
My heavy head sways

It's just a lonely night
Still it takes all my might.
To not miss you so much
When moments ago we touched

The music I've built
Around your image
Plays and keeps me a float
As I wait for your return
And listen to the rain
Rain on the window pane.

Now night has come
And your bed is undone
Your blankets all around me
Wondering where you be.

It's just a lonely night
Still it takes all my might.
To keep loneliness away
For just one more day.

The music I've built
Around your image
Plays and keeps me a float
As I wait for your return
And listen to the rain
Rain on the window pane.

I count each drop that falls
And listen to the rain
Rain on the window pane.

Malfeiya

Another poem exercise I did last year in Creative Writing

She stood there knowing what to do.
Her strong face and delicate hands poised
To bring back the land.
The world was watching Her
Hoping,waiting that She would live
That She would some how defeat death.

Yet She couldn't win without death,
Resurrection needed to pay Her dues.
So once again She will live
In glory and perfection poised
The Father will smile down upon Her
Crowning Her to reign o're the land.

But at the battle front upon the land
Soldiers stand in front of death
Praying to be saved by Her
And look to Her to see what to do.
Shields at front with iron swords poised
They know not whether they will live.

Her fury will conquer the evil that lives,
Banishing pestilence upon the land.
With grace that looks much too poised
Silencing evil unto death.
Shadow will quake in sight of Her
And pay respects over due.

When the war is over, this She'll do
Keep the world were good can live
And no one will live in fear of Her
Less evil begins to crawl over the land.
They'll fear Her and their coming death
And try to hide with righteous poise.

But good, evil, can never poise
For good, for them, is hard to do
And so will stare face to face with death.
Good will go on with Her alive
And beauty returning to the land.
Praise eternal to the Father and Her.

Victorious over death, now in glory poised.
Good only She'll do, evil fearing Her.
As She lives, reigning peace upon the land.
